Hi Alan, I was also an early TextDrive subscriber but missed their $400 signup for life offer. My early days with TextDrive were not happy - they had great 'buzz' but my server was constantly down or slow. I moved to LunarPages.com for general hosting and the difference in quality of service and performance has been night and day (very positive).
I'm taking a very serious look at Python (thanks Ed, Paul, Ted, and others!) and looking for a reasonably priced hosting service that supports the latest release of this language. Much to my surprise (and unlike PHP), this has been a significant challenge. I'm going to give SliceHost a try for hosting my publically accessible Python sandbox. If I run into problems, I'm going to take another look at TextDrive. I'm glad to hear your TextDrive experience has been positive. Thanks for your feedback. Hello Malcolm, I stand corrected. When TextDrive merged with Joyent, they eventually upgraded me to Connector Plus. They're encouraging me to upgrade to Shared Accelerator Plus. More features and faster. That would put me on the Solaris box. I'm still on the BSD server. See http://www.joyent.com/connector/pricing/ You can start from $15 per month or $99 per year. You get 5 users/5GB, 5 websites 5GB storage, 15GB Bandwidth and 5 databases as well as support.
