        In a primary between two progressive members of the same party, the  
differences are relatively trivial compared to the differences between  
either of them and their eventual opponent in November.

        This is why the "silly season in politics", to quote Obama, is an  
inevitable part of the process. I don't particularly care for it, but  
it should be over by next Tuesday. I will be happy to vote for either  
of them in November.
