        The difference you are ignoring is that Ricardo did not create the  
rapist.

        If you were to assume that Ricardo is all-powerful (ok, stop giggling  
and pay attention!), and he created, say, a bunch of robots, and one  
were to have programming errors so bad that the robot ended up killing  
his daughter, who's at fault here? The robot, or the bad programmer?
