Thanks everyone for your responses.  I read in the archives that 
Crossover Office and Wine had some problems that made them an imperfect 
solution.  I have been using Virtual Box in Ubuntu but not for full 
blown development.  I will keep looking but for now I will start using VM.

I have no plans of using VFP on Linux, only developing as all of my 
applications will be deployed on Windows.
