Check to see if the Server (assuming you are hitting one) is scanning
network connections for AntiVirus purposes.  I always disable scanning on
network connections for Symantec AV, leaving it to each machine to scan its
own local HDD units.  That little move alone really let SAV light up for my
client locations.
