Then we pulled out and the Communists killed people by the thousands,
forcing the south Vietnamese to become boat people, many of which fled to
the US. Those good old communists were similarly kind to the people of

        Don't know if you've ever read the Pentagon Papers from back in the

'70s, but one of the key things that they revealed is that Vietnam was  
about to have a free election, and it was obvious that the Communist  
candidate was going to win big, so the US disrupted the election and  
propped up Diem in South Vietnam.
