On one occasion I got a call from a company I had dropped about a
year and a half later. The project was bogged down and not going
anywhere; the manager who didn't want to listen to me had been fired,
and now his replacement thought that if I was the anti-(fired mgr),
maybe I could come back and do things the right way. Unfortunately
(for them, not me), I was in the middle of a full-time gig, so I had
to say no, but it does show that integrity sometimes works out!
