Hello Pete,

I'm using MEPIS as well but I'm on 6.5.  I was waiting on 8 to come out
before upgrading.  It's out now, and now I'm waiting on a pause in work
to do the upgrade.

MEPIS is ultimately built on top of a Debian system so you would want to
use the DEB package.  If Synaptec isn't cutting it for the Flash 10 for
whatever reason, download the DEB package and try out KPackage to help
you get things installed.
