Thanks much Dave, this is the kind of advice I need, along with moral support, and a bit of luck :)

The only think we have done though is to regenerate all the group policies as the 2008 method of locking down machines is much , much slicker and you can do a lot more. The only problems I have ever heard of are migrating the Active Directory, but your consultants should have that down to a fine art. Don't forget to disable the write cache on the drives (right click on drive and look at properties) though as 2008 sets it to be ON by default and it can cause all types of problems with VFP. Best of luck. "Server 1 - File Server" MS Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Service Pack 2 Intel(R) XEON(R) CPU E5430 @ 2.66 GHz 2.67 GHz, 3.00 GB of Ram "Server 2 - Terminal Server/Anti-Virus Server" MS Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition Service Pack 2 Intel(R) XEON(R) CPU 3075 @ 2.66 GHz 2.6 GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram Are there any words of wisdom that others who have experienced this upgrade can give us, anything in particular pertaining to VFP ver 9 that we should know about? I'm not doing this myself, don't have anywhere near the skills, so we're having our consultants coming in to do the job. They've been very good in the past, so I don't doubt there abilities, I'd just like to hear how others made out in this transition. James E Harvey Hanover Shoe Farms, Inc.
