Some of us do. There's a variety of speech recognition categories, some of which work well. Voice Response systems, for example, with discrete word recognition work for telephone VR systems, cell phones, cars. Continuous voice recognition is a lot harder. But it's much more advanced than the OP claims. Read some of the posts. CVR in medical transcription, for example, a specialized and expensive app, is significantly better. Any random joe walking up to a computer and saying "Earl Grey, hot" is likely to get the equivalent of a blank look, though, sadly. -- Ted Roche Ted Roche & Associates, LLC http://www.tedroche.com _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
