1. The umpire's call is final, period. Opening the slightest crack in that, no matter how egregious the screw-up, means that we'll spend a half hour every game with the coaches using their allowed 2 instant replay calls per game to hope to cool off the other team, or get theirs back together. Life is sometimes unfair, and bad calls happen. This is a great life lesson. 2. Fair is fair, and what's the point of a baseball commissioner if he can't once in his career use his inifinite power to right an obvious wrong.
