OK I have a vonage box that is going up and down and leaving my mother without service for periods of time. I can try to teach her how to reboot the modem and router but I'm not at all confident she will do it.
So the Vonage box is actually a router which I can change settings in. I can route ports, set filters, etc... The box sets itself up as 192.168.15.1 by default and is its own DCHP server. OF course the address scheme if I want to. How do I ping that box from outside the network? I want to use a utility that tells me exactly when that router and/or the modem is off-line. The Cable Modem is able to be pinged, but what about the router behind it? _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
