My notebook came with Windows Vista (excuse my language). A short time
ago I purchased Windows 7 Home Premium and installed it with no
problems. The computer now works beautifully.

Then I tried to install SQL Server Express 2008 with the Management
Studio console. Without it, SQL Server cannot be controlled, especially
for someone who is just starting his client server apps.

There was no way that I could install any of the different versions of
SQL Server Express 2008, even though I downloaded and tried the one with
the SP1 as well. After the automatic check of the system, a sign pops up
telling me that this version is not compatible with W7.

This is another example of how sloppyly MS treats us, especially when
they come up with a new thing that will "make life easier for the user".
The instructions are confusing and many times contradictory. Hove you
seen the installation notes?

Is there anything special to be done that I am missing? Or should I
simply install SQL Server 2005 Express in sad resignation?
