Ok, after a break to get the family relocated back to LA I am back on the
notebook hunt.

The Windows 7 Professional systems I see online come with the 32-bit
version. I guess the question is: is there a real advantage to using 32bit
or 64bit? I was thinking that since the processor is 64bit it would make
sense to use the 64bit OS. I played with XP64 a bit and thought it ran
better than the 32 bit on an AMD-4200x2 based system.

Does VFP have any issues running in W7/64bit? I could always run it in a
VM (one of the advantages of Professional version, although I do have VMware
but would probably need to update to the latest version)

I can order a notebook directly from HP with either version. Right now I'm
leaning towards an HP with an i5 processor 500GB HD, 4GB RAM - after
discount comes out to around $1150, or I can get the same system 'off the
shelf' with Windows 7/32bit for about $100 less.

Any thoughts? Complaints? Snide remarks?

Thanks in advance,
Lou
