Kindle restricts you to only Amazon books, I think you can not add xtra memory (sd cards) and you won't be able to read the pdf's you already have in your computer. I have decided for the Sony PRS900 and I'll be getting it in October, you may connect it to your machine and access all your "legacy" books, tons different ebook type, and it is touch screen.
