Hi Mike

If you mean the apostrophe in DB_loc'n.dbf  that was first done in a
Foxpro 2.6 app I wrote years ago.  The IT people asked for it for some
obscure reason.
I did think of that but I am getting the same problem of VFP not being
able to find things like VfpExMapi.dll when its hidden or System.

Not sure, but the first thing that raises my eyebrow is the apostrophe. 
  I'd try getting rid of that first just to rule out something silly.
