Okay, it is a version 1 unit, but I see in Wikipedia it was released in Dec. 2002. I probably bought it in Jan. 2003 so I was exaggerating by saying I've been using it for a decade. 7-8 years, still not too shabby. I had bought it because I thought it was cool that it ran on Linux, and wanted to hack on it, but ended up just using it and it is one of the most reliable pieces of hardware I've ever owned, and I think I paid $49 for it at Staples. It is still providing wifi access throughout my house, although it is admittedly stretched a bit dealing with all the neighbors' blasted 2-Wire units causing interference.
