Most of the reviews on newegg are positive, but internet reviews are notoriously misleading. Many negative review on the Cisco RV082 may be due to its many features, which makes for more complexity to configure/program/maintain.
I'm considering a four port version of the Cisco RV082, (eg Cisco RV042), router for a gateway to the internet, along with a Cisco 4 port gigabyte switch. If I need additional ports or wi-fi, I could connect my Linksys WRT54 into something. LOL. After thinking about this, and all the cables and connections to electrical outlets, I'm coming back to the Cisco RV082.
