I would say that is true if it isn't a Microsoft OS.

For the longest time I suspected that my bank's ATM was Windows-based but could 
never 
put my finger on it. Until I went to withdraw $200 and pressed 'yes' to get a 
receipt, and the system blue-screened. My account had been debited the $200 but 
the 
machine kept the cash, my card, and the receipt.

I stuck around and watched the system reboot. A CMOS screen and Windows XP.

I find it silly and dangerous that there's a powerful, secure, reliable OS 
available 
for the taking but many companies still decide to try to make robust 
applications on 
top of an OS that is a toy in comparison.
