Thanks Kent, I did try that. It shows that the "scan....endscan" loop 
takes 1/2 second, but that was using the VFP IDE...which is an 
environment that there is no problem with.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to run coverage profiler from the 
runtime environment. Is there a way to do that?
