Hello again Ted,

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of Max. And, I got a real kick out
of the Foo RFC, as it relates to Foobar. Although, I think its extra
funny - since most techy people already know its really F.U.B.A.R. - and
what it means. But, I'm assuming that the usage of Foo & Bar & Foobar as
variables is directly related to the FUBAR acronym. Honestly, I didn't
finish reading the RFC that you linked to - but, will probably continue
reading it after I finish this e-mail.

And - I'm also glad to know my BMI just squeaked by under the top range
of normal!

So - when you mentioned using the Wordpress SW on your own site - does
that mean I could probably just drop it into my free server space and
run it there? I suspect probably not. And, at this point in time - its
probably just easier to use the WordPress.com website and setup my own
blog that way.

As for Books, User Groups & Conferences - that exists for practically
everything in the Techy world - even for Dead Languages!!!

Sorry - I just had to throw that one in there...

:-)
-K-

"Yes, but..." is always the answer to questions like this.

I don't use WordPress.com, I host my own copies of WP on my own
hosting site (http://blog.tedroche.com, for example, the rest are for
clients). It is a very powerful PHP Content Management System and
there is a huge community of support and 3rd party add-ons and themes.
So, you can get your site to do nearly anything you want. Be careful,
though, as some 3rd party vendors may not have your best interests in
mind and use their plugins for their own purposes. Use the community
and tutorials at WordPress.com (and WordPress.org, the site for
self-hosting folks) to learn how to do things.

If you get really involved in it, there are even user group meetings
and conferences! And books.
