Chris,

I've seen some systems get slow response time with our application when the
shared folder is the executable/data folder. We get better performance when
the parent folder is shared.

The EXE and Data are here.
C:\PowerChruch\PCPLUS115
When the shared folder is PCPLUS115 this is slower.
When the shared folder is PowerChurch this is faster.

I always considered it to be authentication issues. Though I may be wrong. I
watched file accesses of our application using a SysInternal tool. What I
saw gave me the conclusion. Opening tables, accessing parts of the EXE for
more information, do a CD or SET DEFAULT TO, would always get the file list
of the folder above where the file is. Then get a list from the folder
contained inside of it.
