Does anyone know what the current state of play is with regard to SQLite support?
The documentation under jwiki/Addons/data/sqlite is not valid anymore, and PacMan only offers a data/ddsqlite, which however does not seed to be documented anywhere. <rant_mode> I have to say that one of my greatest frustrations with J is that a lot of good work of the past seems to get lost in the process of updates. E.g. I was really looking forward to doing some OpenGL work with J, yet this does not seem possible currently (8.02 on Linux 64bit). I am glad to see that all the loose ends are consolidating slowly, but in its current form, I find that J is NOT the all-round package that it could be. I still love learning about vector-style programming, I see it will fit in very well with concepts relating to GPGPU, etc., but I would hesitate big-time in recommending it as an all-round solution (which it could easily become) simply because of the tatty state of the support packages. Every time I think of a project that would suit J ideally, I find myself being frustrated by one thing or the other not working. </rant_mode> Anyway, I hope it's an easy thing to sort out. Any help/suggestions appreciated. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
