The threat models I can imagine fall roughly into these categories: (1) Induced physical problems -- file deletion, gpu overheating, denial of service. (2) Induced social problems -- smears, slights, "character assassination". (3) Induced legal problems -- "swatting", lawsuits, whatever In all cases, these seem like rare events. They are not out of the question, and we can see in the news some evidence that they happen, along with some information about motivations which might drive them. And, physical limitations prevent us from having perfect defenses against all forms of attack. But, there isn't a lot about the J community that would motivate such attacks. That said, I should also mention: (4) Time wasting problems. We all do this, and that winds up leading into judgement calls. Anyways, ... the question about threat models is a good one. But, there's a lot of threat models. And then there's: (5) Loss of functionality (for us: absence of J).
