Oh hey. I qualify for this one. :) Thank you for starting & sharing this. One thing I want to bring up - What are your reader's J prerequisites? It is well known the way a master organizes their specialized skill in their mind is different from newcomers. They knew all the idioms, phrases, what works and what doesn't ... it is easy to skip all the roadblocks/landmines for newcomers and just talk about the final answer in its full glory. (Not that I'm complaining.) That's why I really appreciate you took the time to show us how you debug CalorieCounting using J. (I've been using my xxd.)
