I certainly used to have this working on Windows, but have been using Linux almost exclusively more recently. I just tried the Glade 3.6.6 that is installed on my 32-bit Windows 7 machine and get the same error as you.
A quick look at the User forum for Glade turned up the following post that might be helpful: http://lists.ximian.com/pipermail/glade-users/2011-May/005295.html I'll give it a try an let you know how I get on.
