Ric, What does this mean?

Close your jconsole session and try to start GTK IDE session again

When you click the J icon again should you get something like a J6 session?

Everything seems to be going well.  It shows everything is up to date.

I close and open the console again and get a domain error.

domain error: cd
  decodecesc memr 0 _1 2,~  'libint1-8.dll gettext > + *c'&cd<y

Thanks for trying to help.  Any ideas now.

I had a similar problem. When I selected the GTK icon, a jconsole window
would 
open up with an error message.
