Hello,
yesterday I found that bibindex died due to this following error:
[...]
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> ...updating reverse table idxWORD09R started
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> ...updating reverse table idxWORD09R ended
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> idxWORD09F normal wordtable flush ended
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> 111 records took 39.6 seconds to complete.(168
recs/min)
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> Estimated runtime: 0.1 minutes
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> idxWORD09F contains 96655 words from 28551 records
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> idxWORD09F is in consistent state
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> idxWORD01F contains 244861 words from 30162 records
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> EMERGENCY: idxWORD01F needs to repair 379 of 30162
records
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> EMERGENCY: idxWORD01F inconsistencies detected...
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> EMERGENCY: Errors found. You should check consistency
of the idxWORD01F - idxWORD01R tables.
Running 'bibindex --repair' is recommended.
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> stopping commands started
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> stopping commands ended
---err---
2008-11-20 09:13:52 --> Exception caught:
---eof---
So I run the recommended 'bibindex --repair', with this result:
[...]
2008-11-20 09:15:00 --> idxWORD09F is in consistent state
2008-11-20 09:15:00 --> idxWORD01F contains 244861 words from 30162 records
2008-11-20 09:15:00 --> EMERGENCY: idxWORD01F needs to repair 379 of 30162
records
2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> EMERGENCY: Record 30204 is in inconsistent state.
Can't repair it
2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> EMERGENCY: Record 30205 is in inconsistent state.

2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> EMERGENCY: Record 30207 is in inconsistent state.
Can't repair it
2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> EMERGENCY: Unrepairable errors found. You should check
consistency
of the idxWORD01F - idxWORD01R tables. Deleting affected
records is
recommended.
2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> stopping commands started
2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> stopping commands ended
---err---
2008-11-20 09:15:01 --> Exception caught:
---eof---
I deleted those 30204->30207 (that is, put them with 980$aDELETED,
keeping a marcxml copy of them to be uploaded again later), rerun
bibindex, same error, repair again, etc., but I'm getting the same
errors. Most likely I didn't understand this 'Deleting affected records
is recommended' advice.
What should I do?
Many thanks,
Ferran
