If people get package in a point release that are not coming from DSAs, some of them already freak out. If they find out that it are packages noone needs for upgrading anyway, they'll be pissed off even more. So to avoid these and all the trouble we'll get from it including bad publicity all over, I want that the concept of etch.5 is communicated to the wide public beforehand so users are well informed and don't need to find out for themselves or read debian-announce for that matter to know about it.
