I'm simply bumping the priority of this task, as I'm sitting with Heath
and we are discussing the major problems in many labs' workflows
(certainly SLAC and Fermilab) that this delay causes. We often find that
"unusual situations" of queue stoppages, or long running index jobs etc
cause hours/days delays in inputting a new record or similar. These usual
situations seem to be the norm, not the exception, and alleviating these
workflow issues is a high priority from our point of view.
