I haven't tried higher MySQL versions personally, but since we don't use
too many particular SQL goodies in our queries, I guess it should behave
relatively smoothly.  Though there may be some porting surprises along
the way, like in the past with tables aliases in JOIN queries when we
upgraded from 4.0.
