The next step would be to include in a well chosen place (/mail/admin right) a way to make that change. It is probably easy to allow a change of the password in the database (take care to only alter the mailman related part) + status change and then make sv_mailman updating everything if it reach this status. Indeed, this page would be accessible only to project admins.
