hello, http://better-scm.berlios.de/comparison/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bazaar_(software)
the only problem i really have with svn is the use of a different storage system for your project. It forces you to do a checkout to grab a layout of your project files. Whereas in Darcs and BazaarNG, the project structure stays intact with the addition of a subdirectory to keep track of the repository. Moreover, the core functionalities of both softwares are designed to be decentralized. There is a solutions in svn to have the same effect as above through post-commit scripts or timed-checkouts. The cruxade project i have now is also privately hosted using svn, a specific branch will be check-out in 5 minutes to have the latest changes accessible via http. (But then again, what of the other branches? that'll be a pain to administer in a more dynamic environment where developers create branches at will.) For decentralized development there is an early stage SVK to work with SVN. NBJayme __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
