Ian, All I can say is that if you haven't seen how some people use the underscoring, it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. It's just a matter of time. FYI designers here use very often undescore to make a difference between two signals, not to make one of them negative. RESET and RESET_ are just two RESET signals that should not be connected. I agree that you can always add text after that but we still use PCAD MD and as you know DOS applications could not handle names longer than 8 characters. So we are forced to think and act simple. I've even seen file names letter.doc and letter_.doc. Parts named the same way, too. I don't expect you or anybody else to advise me what names to use. I don't use underscore but all others do. I could only think of the problems that might come up with using underscore.
