doing it manually seems to work. the problem is that those instructions appear to be part of the make and even if I run them manually when I run the make command again it still tries to execute them and fails. I have also tried to find out what make Error 127 means but I still haven't had any luck with that. And to think I did all of this on my Mac on the first try *sigh...
