There was one or two RFC-like documents in the ssh distribution
several years ago. If that was protocol version 1.5 or something even
older, I don't remember.

I think I like the ssh-2 protocol. It's clean, flexible, and without
too many special hacks. But since I haven't looked at the
documentation for any earlier protocol version for ages, I can't say
how different they are, except that earlier versions had weaker
message authentication.

Do you think you could give us a summary on the changes and
improvements in the 2.0 protocol?

Another question: Does there exists any documentation (besides ssh
source code, which I prefer not to read at this time) for the
ssh-agent mechanism?
