I was not clear in this description of the problem, as a dead key per si does not cause any immediate effect, but expects the next key to form the final key. For instance, if the dead key ' is typed, and the next typed key is the vowel a, then the result will be the accented vowel �. But with my RHL 8.0 setup, typing the dead key follwed by the vowel does not produce anything on the Linux console. > Is anybody seing this behaviour or have > a clue on how correct it?
