I have seen this in (null) with cz-lat2. The trouble is that
the compose entries in that maps are not converted to utf-8.
I haven't yet tried it, but finding your keymap under /lib/kbd/keymaps,
gunzipping it, converting to UTF-8 (iconv -f $ORIG_CHARSET < old > new),
modifying the charset= entry in the file
and replacing the original file might help (after reboot or
/sbin/service keytable restart). Tell me if it works ;-)
