digi003 questions?

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of getting PT, and I am trying to get the digi003 with
it. Here's my question... What al can you do with the 003 that you can't do
in PT? Or what does the control surface make easier in protocols? Also, does
it give you access to things that aren't accessible yet?
