Hi all,
again, this is a question from someone who doesn't have ProTools yet.
One of the things I was frustrated with when using sonar, is the fact that
punching manually is always too abrupt, and you are lucky if you don't get
clicks and pops at Punch points that you have to correct afterwards.
I've used analog tape machines and other digital recording devices that had
adjustable cross fades for punching on-the-fly, which made it real smooth and
pleasant.
Does ProTools have a thing like that??
I would also like to know how hard it is to edit the in and out points of a
punched piece of audio if you have to, , and if you can set ProTools so that
shortening a punch would reveal what's underneath it.
Best,
