It won't be a year but it may be a couple of months. The best thing to do is
to keep an eye on Avid's site for information about compatibility. You can sign
up for their email list which will inform you of such developments.

Does any one have any idea for when Lion will become usable? I mean is it a
matter of just waiting until they patch things or are we talking about a longer
wait. I am looking at buying a Mac right now and if it is only going to be a
matter of months before the issue is resolved then I can wait, but if we are
looking at more like a year or years then, lets just say I am inpatient and
will be happy with what works now.

Thanks for tolerating more of my newby questions.

Lion is a nickname for the new Mac operating system.
Don't upgrade now, or you won't be able to use ProTools anymore, at least
for the moment.

hey! Watch out! It's coming! raoh!
It brings significant improvements on voice-over, but does anyone
know if ProTools nine will be compatible with it? Should I upgrade or wait?
