For those of you who do mixing professionally, in sonar using the CakeTalking
scripts, we could read and see how much gain reduction was taking place when a
track was being compressed. I'm assuming that we cannot read those meters or
does protools even have any gain reduction meter or makeup gain for that
matter… When I was in the compressor 3 plugin the other day when Kevin Reeves
was training me, I didn't see a makeup gain control and I didn't see anything
in there about gain reduction meters. So for those of you who mix with
protools professionally, how can you tell how much compression is taking place
on a track? Is there a workaround for this so we can tell exactly how much
compression is taking place? THanks,
