Hey Poppa,

Thanks for the extra update. As it turns out, I didn't spring for the
CLA bundle in the Black Friday/Cyber Monday blow out in the end
either. I need to make quick revisions when I'm not in front of the
control surface too often to be reliant on Waves stuff as things
stand. Demo'd a bunch of their plugs with some eyes around as part of
the decision making process though, and there's no doubt I'd jump on
board that ship if things were to get a bit tidier on the
accessibility front.

One day perhaps...

I went back today and messed with my CLA plug/strip and just couldn't
justify bying it again if I could do it over. There are series of buttons
that just are not mappable along with other knobs that are not controlable, from my surface at least, but I do wish it was because when I have somebody
play around with it, the sounds are very nice.

  Hi Poppa,
Have you "mapped the waves plugs out".
IE go through each one and make your own quick reference doc?
So far the trim parameter in the linmb is just about the only elusive one
! here!
I'd be glad to go through the waves stuff with you if you want. :)
  YMMV

I have found in my experience that I can get about 40% of the values
changing on my Digi 002, but though I have about 6 of the CLA plugs, I
hardely use them because it is just not as friendly as say, waves center or the L-1-2-3 stuff when it comes to accessibility and speed. I would like to know if I am just taking the wrong approach with them as well as the API and
some of the SSL stuff because I would like to get more out of them.

      Hi Scott,
      Same accessibility for now! :(

But that Waves Accessibility campaign is starting to ramp up!
I grabbed the NLS for around $135.00 with coupon code the other day
and WOW!
I saw the special your talking about and have been debating it, for
that price you absolutely can't go wrong!
      YMMV

        Hey folks,

Thanks to Black Friday, Waves are running a special on the CLA
plugs
that's tempting me. Wondered whether anybody here has used CLA Bass
and CLA Drums in particular? What were your findings
accessibility-wise? Sometimes, I find myself without a control
surface
to hand, is that a dealbreaker with every Waves plug? Are there any
hurdles to overcome re activation, or anything else I should know
about before putting money down on them?

        Cheers for any advice
