So if you get a copy of PT 10 with an 11 upgrade, should a person get the
10.3.8 update before upgrading to the 11 versions? Is there any particular
sequences of instalations and updates that should be followed if a person
buys a PT 10 with an 11 upgrade?
Thanks

That may very well be accurate. The only versions of 10 and 11 that I ever
had on the same partition were both betas of 10.3.8 and 11.1.

From what i heard when Avid pushed Mavericks support in Pro Tools 11.0.3
it broke the compatibility with running version 10 on the same mavericks
partition. 10.3.8 and 11.1 should be able to coexist on the same partition
again though under mavericks.

Hi Scott,
I'm not sure exactly what you read but Pro Tools 11 and 10 can coexist on
the same partition. That's what I currently have on my laptop.

Hey folks,

Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks (
This is a bit of a bummer, seeing as it's exactly what I hoped to do
until the cash for an upgrade to 11 becomes available. Does not
supported mean it flat out doesn't work, or just that they won't take
tech support requests about it?
Cheers for any info

BTW thanks for the tip on 10.3.8. I was wondering why it was only
showing
the Paid 11.0 upgrade and not 10.3.8 as well.

This is good news. I was actually playing around a bit last night

the pro remote app for the iphone and pt10. It does give you a lot
of
stuff and you can do things like mix automation and select regions

run the transport. I haven’t figured out how to get at inserts and
sends in the mix view yet. I should try it on the iPad instead
because
it would fit a lot more at once. You can run four instances of it

handle 32 tracks at once. If I could get it to take the whole

on the iPad i imagine I could get at a lot of stuff. You do get
values
for everything, and PT responds quickly to your commands. It’s a
bit
quirky getting it to connect to your wifi network sometimes but
once it
is on it works wherever you go. I want to try it with braille so
that
I can do vocals and stuff with no speech going.

The fixes mentioned sound pretty obscure when they're worded in
that
fashion but, for what it's worth, there are a ton of fixes not
the
least of which is access to plug-ins unlike that which we had in
the
past. I'd love to list all of the improvements but there are so
