While chris is right and Avid doesn't recommend anything but actual apple 
hardware, check out http://www.pro-tools-pc.com they make PC's specific to 
running pro tools. What they don't  say on the website but will speak of 
anecdotally  if asked is that the system is pretty much Hackintosh ready. THeyw 
not mackintosh it for you, but  should you choose to  you can do that after 
purchasing one. So if they give you enough system details, you can probably 
grab the parts and build one yourself.
