The Line6 JTV stuff or the Antares Autotune for Guitar (currently only
available in the Peavey AT-200 as a ready to go package but can be had
as an after market kit to install into any guitar of your choosing or
a floor board processor) are worth a look as ready to go studio tools
with tons of tone options. The Antares ATG system handles alt tuning
and Hell even standard tuning way better but you do get a larger
variety of tones with the Line6 JTV.
