And have Independence available to me in Samplitude Pro X2 Suite which is accessible so that could be an option for you. Independence ships with tons of great hi quality samples in all kinds of styles. It's something like 70GB of data so not bothering with it here as don't use samples much in my work flow at the moment. Personally like to have as many tools available to me as possible. Still the great news is that now got Superior Drummer 2 working in Samplitude so it's nice to have another high quality DAW available on the Windows side that is significantly newer and sounds sonically better than Sonar 8.5.3. Talking of which, this will be a free update for any Superior Drummer 2 users who have purchased the HSC sets for use in Sonar who want it. It's also great to be able to edit automation after the fact and apply affects to clips or as they call them in Samplitude, objects all non destructively.
