Well, after logging in, navigate to the category like, for example, Plug-ins 
and click once with VoiceOver. Navigate to the various plug-ins that reflect 
that there's an update available and click on the word "update." Normally, the 
word "update" will change to "downloading" and then "install." Click on the 
word "install" and the installer will be launched in the background. If the 
application manager doesn't respond, you might need to press Page down and 
repeat the process of clicking on the word "update." Rinse and repeat. It does 
work, albeit clumsily, as mentioned.
