Hi David, It's been about 17 years since I've been in front of a 3800 but, if I remember correctly, there's a scrub button that needs to be pressed to get the surface into scrub mode. If the device is recognized and the faders pop up when you open a session, I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of hitting that button before scrubbing. HTH, Slau
