Hi John, Using this type of shuttling does work quite well. The only limitation is that it's limited to a maximum of two channels of audio. For mono or stereo material, it's great—quick and easy but, if you're trying to get through a session file with multi-tracked instrumentation, you'll hear only the selected track or perhaps two tracks within a group of drums or whatever.
